Community Health Needs Assessment

November 18, 2025

We Invite the Community to Help Shape the Future of Tribal Health

Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) is launching a new Community Needs Assessment to learn more about what matters most to our community’s health and wellness.

This effort is a chance for you—our community members—to share your experiences, concerns, and ideas for a healthier future. Your voice will help guide the programs, partnerships, and services that support the well-being of our people.

In the coming weeks, you’ll see opportunities to participate through surveys, listening sessions, and community events. Whether you share your thoughts in person or through a quick phone survey, your input will make a difference.

PTHA is partnering with Seven Directions, a Center for Indigenous Public Health at the University of Washington, to ensure this process honors both cultural knowledge and public health best practices. Together, we’ll identify health priorities, barriers to care, and community strengths to help plan for the future in ways that reflect the values and traditions of the Puyallup people and all Native relatives we serve.

The last comprehensive assessment took place in 2004, and it’s time for a new snapshot of our community’s health. Our Board of Directors sees this as an important opportunity to strengthen health equity, cultural vitality, and self-determination in healthcare—but we can’t do it without you.
